Loving this build. I still have my early-91 Zaskar that I bought new (after a year or two with the Karakoram Purple Haze) and that stem, fork and super-rigid frame combo takes me back to the first ride, 30mph down a rocky farm track and thinking "this is horrific!". Just looking at yours makes my wrists ache. Used to race mine in Cornwall in the early 1990s and it got all the swanky upgrades (Manitou Mk1, Ringlé, Flite etc) with the help of the bike shop that I rode for. I used to polish anything that I could, so yours is an amazing reference to what mine used to be like. Proper memory lane stuff. Thanks for the posts and pics! BTW. Post title says 91 Zaskar but your frame number says you have a December '90 frame. No?
