I've taken it offroad twice in the two days that I've had it, and like the review of the slightly earlier timbercomp on the archive here, i began riding harder than i intended to within a few minutes. even compared to my other ritchey, this thing handles on a different level. descending, it tracks better.... and it climbs over obstacles a lot better too. Even the canti brakes are kickin it, and i thought for sure that they wouldnt. I think they feel more like discs than Vs do... the modulation is great, and i found myself rolling through corners a little more than i would with Vs.
Anyway, I am a diehard fan of the bike already, which is a relief. I have a history of loving garbage bikes and disliking bikes that are meant to be great. There are a few spots with some rust showing and i am pretty keen to rectify that, so it might not stay in the original colours for too long.
Oh! and the 'ey' on the decal was there when it arrived, but it had masking tape over the decal, so it was stripped when i tried to take it off. I think I spent about 5minutes taking each of those sides of masking tape off... very nerve wracking!
I'll get more and better shots of it soon. I think its pretty much stock except the bar, stem and saddle, oh, and tires.
