89/90 Orange Clockwork colour options ?

I was very very lucky, mine had RC30 in mint condition and got a big stash of decals from both companies. They were very amiable in those days

Rc30 look special on most bikes.
Spare decals... I could of done with back in the day :facepalm:

I cant be sure of the year but I had one in purple/ orange

it was £15 from a second hand shop in Cambridge, Pace RC30 too

I emailed Pace and got free decals

I emailed Orange and got free decals

So after a bit of pondering and trawling through the forum looking at clockwork pics I think I’ve got myself 2 options

First option is in black with period correct build most likely RC30’s and DX just nice and right bit like the following pix


Second option is not sure purists lead, since i’ve been looking at colours I keep seeing grey clockworks, and I proper loves them !! I know it not year appropriate but I have a real itch for one again with a set of RC30’s and DX kinda like this old forum favourite


So that’s the current thinking :!:

This is frame, I’ve had from new bike it’s in a stripped state at the mo, disc tab :facepalm: all ready gone and will always be a keeper. As you can see, poorly

Personally I'd go black as you could easily pick up a period correct frame for peanuts to do silver/grey.

Wow! :shock: great to see that pic again. Loved the look of that clockwork so when Ed offered it up for sale as a frame and fork, I was straight in there. I had great intentions of a DX/XT build but sadly, circumstances changed and I had to sell. I can't remember if it was back to Ed or someone else here. Hope it's still about.

Remember that pink and white fade prestige too..... Although with the pic you could never be sure if it was a faded neon orange or some strange colour effect of the photography!

All that 'me trying to persuade' Davo into getting an 'O' ..... I think the opposite is now happening and I'm looking at early prestiges!!
..... and although it's a full house at the moment, another pink/purple/lilac bike in the collection might have me questioning my own taste!

Like the colour way on markjohnson76's "O" in this month's BOTM. What about something like that?
