'88 Joe Waugh 653

Re: Joe Waugh 653

Thanks Andy ;)
It will be out on a retro ride on Sunday in Brighton

Re: Joe Waugh 653

I had the same model in 653, except silver with yellow fade intead of all silver. Had Cinelli BB and the lug filing by Dave was the neatest I've seen. 53cm c-t It was just a little bit too small for me.

Just updated title aa I found out it's age . What do '88 components look like ? Three years before my proper cycling started

I noticed your guitar references  ... so from one guitarist to another this is what I had on my '88 Dave Weigh 531c....Shimano 600 Tri-color and it was fabulous; wish I still had it...it also had the funky, but possibly futile Biopace cranks :)

Hi Andy , looks nice in that colour scheme. Reminds me of the G Weigh and Ribble ads in the back of the comic
At least the mechs on this one are tricolour ultegra as is the (now polished) chainset !

Who's Dave? I've called Graham lots of things over the years - but never Dave.

Or have you been watching to many episodes of the League of Gentlemen....?

Oh, I like the bike now you've made it into a rider. Looks good.
