OK I've pulled myself together, and now I can speak.

Wow! OMG, My Goodness, jee wizz, Hai Caramba, what? Ha ha, .......

OK I'll try that again ..

Couple of questions:
So when you put on the decals did you have to then spray lacquer over them, is it easy or better to get a frame sprayer to do that?
Where did you get the pink foam grips? they're as rare as rocking horse poo.

Are you really gonna ride it? If you do have someone lay some green baize cloth out in front of you wherever you go.

Amazing build! can't wait to see the final money shots

Thanks, it's been a long time coming but the final photo is going to have to wait as my experiments with a dark background haven't come out too well (crap light yesterday) and I'm off on holiday on Wednesday... sorry chaps!

There’s a layer of clearcoat over everything i.e white, decals, graphics, clearcoat.

I'd been looking for some pink Grab On's for ages but I then read somewhere that they only made them in black  , so I widened my eBay search and found the Johar Rad's. Are they that rare? I got the impression that they might be.

This whole build has been a tour de force in difficult/unique parts to find, which I hadn’t anticipated when I started. The plastic A113 cable guides came from Australia and I was told they could be the last NOS ones left as the factory who made them was burnt to the ground, the front mech seems to be a special that wasn't listed in any Suntour literature and the brake/shifter levers only seem to exist in a grainy photo.

The next problem to sort out is the crank which I think I’m going to cut and lengthen the spindle, as I want this to be a rider (my Funk’s the garage queen).

It's amazing what you can do with two old table cloths and a packet of Dylon!

Cue drum roll....................

This could possibly be the best retrobike build thread i've watched since joining retrobike. B.O.T.Y,its got my vote :)

Re:

Another quality build and attention to detail is great. Final result looking stunning just like the Offroad did Caspar, nice one!

Re:

I was really struggling for time to get the full shot uploaded before I went on holiday; thanks for the positive comments.

I set up the "studio" again this afternoon to take some new shots plus I also wanted to show off my NOS roller cam brake boots which were sitting on my door mat when I got home; cool aren't they?

Anyway, I'm planning on going taking her for a test ride over the weekend so I'll give you an update on how I get on going back to non-index shifting! Studio....JPG
