I acquired this late '84 MF-MB26A Explorer Deluxe last year. Aside from replacing the rotted tyres and saddle, it is in original condition down to the National tubes, DID chain and dork disk.
Somebody had abandoned it at the Blue Derby trail centre (!) here in Tasmania. You know, where they hold a round of EWS. I'm not sure how it got there or what they thought they were going to do with it, frankly. I presume it was a private import as they were not sold here and it had some French panniers on it.
A fairly unremarkable mid range bike of its time, but a pretty remarkable survivor given how little use it has had.
