The crank was made by Takagi, prior to to the Shimano buy out.

A lot of Shimano chainsets were made by Takagi. Incidentally, Young Master Shimano did his apprenticeship there.

I'd still say 83/84 before the Overbury's name was used. The Pioneer appeared in early 86 when the ATB/ MTB thing was really taking hold.

I'd be looking for ITM bars with the sleeve and a stem along the lines of what Harry wears, you may find the original bullmoosebull bars a bit too low

Uncut, they are properly wide and comfortable but hard to find these days

I've got one of those that I had on the alves. Will dig it out then. Looks fine.
