8 to 9spd conversion

All my "upgrades" involved M770 Shimano.
Shifters and casette.I kept the M739 rear mech.

However, having riden my mates SRAM equiped bike with X0 shifters and rear mech, I'm giving SRAM a go with bits via ebay.

Currently just changed the front shifter. Soooooooooo much better.Less throw of the lever,and instant shifting.Looking forward to getting the rear shifter.

The M770 shifters and no where near as instant,sharp etc as my M740 ones on the other bike.

ive spent a fair bit on bike stuff lately (mrs not too impressed lol) so im gonna put the 9 spd conversion on hold for a while :? till i got the £££ to do the wole lot.... chainset, rear mech, shifter and chain all at once

well after alot of net trawling looking for shifters levers etc... i managed to get a brand new alivio 8spd shifter and brand new set of avid FR-5 levers for the grand total £24.98
