8-speed Campag pulley wheels?

I was planning on replacing the pulley wheels on the 90's Colnago Master Olympic with Campag Record I'm currently restoring, but I'm a little confused about which ones to get.

There is an easily available version called RD-RE500 that I bought that's supposed to be for 8-speed derailleurs, but the screws that go in the cage through the pulleys were too thick to fit them. My thought then was that maybe there's an upgraded version of the screws with a smaller diameter to fit these new pulleys, so I bought the screws called RD-RE106. These screws fit the wheels, but then I noticed that the new wheels are actually thicker than the original ones and wont turn properly when mounted.

This is the type of pulleys originally on the bike:

And these are the new ones:

Should I just give up and try to salvage the old pulley wheels or is there some other currently available version that is compatible with my derailleur?

Shows the pulley wheels as part number 1302006. Looks like the ones you bought are for the later generation 8 speed rear mechs.
Ah, I see. Thanks! I was convinced all 8-speed Campag pulleys must be the same, but apparently not. I have read a lot on Disraeli Gears (great site) but I haven't checked out the documents page before, what a goldmine! Unfortunately the ones I need then seem quite rare and only available as NOS and way too expensive. Think I'll just try and service the old ones then.

Somewhere on the Campagnolo website there are links to old expoloded diagrams too - if anyone has the link?
You could then see if a lower spec rear mech uses the same jockey wheels, then buy one 2nd hand of ebay. Without paying a record premium

Saying that, i got on ok with BB - i assume bearings are better than friction
