73mm BB into 68mm Shell

… with a 2.5mm spacer on drive side.
Any reason I shouldn’t do this?
Any problem with having a few threads poking out on the no drive side?

Nah, the sun will still rise in the morning!

I've done it the other way, and put an old locking on the remaining threads.

Just watch your axle length/chain line.

You've got fewer threads in the drive side - might be better to put a slimmer spacer, and even a lockring on the nds?
