Evening,

I know that there are some lovely examples of Raleigh SBDU bikes in 70's team colours here on the site, and wondered whether any of the owners could recommend/advise on where I could/should send mine to get it repainted?, if they're local to me in Suffolk all the better :D . Cheers Matt

Re:

I'd reccoment Argos Racing in Bristol.

I would also advise against using ColorTech, who used to be Chas Roberts spray shop of choice. Nothing against their work, but I waited over six months and I know an mtb member who waited a year and then had to send the frame back due to issues.

I had mine re-finished at Mercian (not ideal for you). Quite expensive and I think they may sub-out but it is a first class finish and a few years later it still looks superb.

I think all the known players can turn out the Raleigh Team Livery, after all they have been doing it for years :)

SBDU frames came in any colour you wanted: D

Re:

Thanks for the replies guys, I figured it'd probably be the big names, but thought it worth checking just in case.

You're right of course Shaun, although I must admit that I'm still debating going with your original suggestion, from the previous thread, and getting it sprayed metallic gold. Something along the lines of the TT specials which pop up now and again, the wheels I have for it have gold rims so it could look good?.

Cheers Matt

It would look really good. The foil badges are hard get though - the ones I've seen on ebay are not really good enough. HLloyd might do them but they are not in the catalogue and take ages apparently to produce, you'd have to ask nicely.
