700cc and 29er rim brake rims?

Re:

I have a pair of road wheels on my 29er and they seem fine.
The only worry is the relative width of the rim and tyre, but not had any issues with the tyre rolling off yet

700c and 29" are both 622 mm. So yes, the brake track is in the same place.

BUT, as alluded to above, you'll not find many 29er rim brake rims. And road rims are generally fairly narrow. Trekking/hybrid rims may be wide enough.

Not many v-brake 29er frames about either!

Try Mavic A719 or A319. They are the same section as x717 and X317 MTB rims but rolled to the larger 700c size.

Except the Ax19 rims are 19mm internal width and the Xx17 are 17 mm internal width........

Look at the MTB rim data: XC717 is quoted as 17mm internal too...although puzzlingly so is XM317. :?

Re:

My bonty ones are narrower than that. Still hold my Rocket Rons on though

That's what i said.......

The last two digits indicate the internal width of the rim, the other one is the "series" of the rim, low is cheap, high is expensive (and added feature) the letters refer to what sort of use they are aimed at.
