700c wheelset... Now sorted

Hi All,

Just joined.

Hope someone can help.

I'm presently restoring an entry level mid 80's Raleigh Routier 5 speed freewheel, doesn't need too much work. .

Just need a set of wheels, don't really want to fit new alloys.

Solid axle nutted needed, 120mm OLD, I doubt if QR will get enough bite on rear drop outs now that I've checked it.

The stronger the better as I'm about 18 stone!

A quality alloy wheel will take your weight no problem. Where are you based?

Hi,

I'm in west Wales.

Looks like I'll need solid axle, but it is difficult to find double wall rims with solid nutted axles.
