7 spd XT (or similar) rear mech

In reality the bushes went a long time ago so it's time to replace my rear mech.

I need something suitable for a 7 spd cassette, currently running an old XT with 8spd SIS written on it (would presume early to mid nineties vintage).

I run 7 spd and am using XTR STI shifters. I believe I need a long cage mech.

I guess 8 would be ideal which would give me the option of running an 8spd block assuming that an 8 is compatible with a 7spd block (which they are as far as I understand it?).

I'll certainly grab one though please, price?

No need to post a pic unless you have one to hand but I'd be after as good a condition as poss.
