7 spd on 8 spd cassette

My ickle brother has a Cannondale that he's doing up. It has 7 spd on the back and he's looking for new wheels.

If he buys a set with an 8 spd cassette, can he still get the 4.5mm spacers necessary to run with his existing set-up?

I know I'm going to sound really anal but I would go with this one:

it has the three cut outs that allow easy use of the standard shimano 7 spd block (it has 3 screw heads that can foul the spacer). The SJS one on the google search is the same but they'll charge you £100 postage, CRC is FREE!!
