69mm PM brakes. help!!!

Hi All. Having no end of fun trying to upgrade a front brake on a '99 specialised FSR elite. It has manitou Xvert shocks. The 69mm PM type. I have sourced a 96mm-IS adapter from A2Z but now need the correct iS-PM adapter for the Quad nano brake. I started with a 160 disc and got a 180 disc with the Quad. Thing is, the IS-PM adapter with the kit is too big and leaves me about 13mm short of brake pad contact. I have been told that a 160 IS-PM adapter with a 170 disc along with the A2Z 69 adapter should just about work.
Any shared experience on upgrading Manitou 69mm PM forks? :?

sorry i cant be of any help , but i feel your pain was there recently
realised you get a 185 mm disc as well as a 180

I guess the old US imperial/ euro metric doesn't help either. I thought it was bad enough with 160mm speakers not fitting 6" holes in the car.
Got various adapters and discs coming in the post. I am sure something will fit with a bag of shims.
