653 frame repair, is it worth it

Hello all
I have a 653 Mike kowal frame,it was in a very poor condition paint wise, I gave it to a painter and it came back with 2 holes in the frame,no fault of his
Is it worth fixing or would I be able to sell in present condition

It sounds like it's rusting through from the inside, for which the long-term solution is to replace frame tubes.
Personally I wouldn't bother, but if the frame has sentimental value then things might be different.

It's a very nice frame but an eBay purchase,saying that I do like it think I will have to cut my losses
