Dirt Disciple
The latest - and I certainly hope the last - manifestation of this bicycle. Bought a pair of used, aluminium Campagnolo racing wheels, changed the adjustable quill stem to a classic, much lighter and less clunky-looking, gooseneck shape, and put on some new brake-lever hoods. Still undecided about which colour handlebar tape I should use and whether a black saddle works better than the brown - spoiled for choice. A much - very much - lighter bicycle - absolutely flies along. Happy old boy ...

Very nice!

Embrace the light/dynamo holder on the fork. Modern ones, even sometimes classic looking, actually work ok.
Grazie ... Came with two dynamo powered lamps, front and back, but threading the wire through the frame in the holes provided would be a nightmare. Besides ... she won't let me out at night.

AXA makes a little silver one, and they have a retro silver front light too. Wouldn't be too hard to make them play nice on that bracket
