57cm 531c + FULL 105 + Cinelli steering + Mavic Open 4

Bikestard

Retro Newbie
This bike was handbuilt by Byer Cycles in Bedford around 1990. The Bike has had little use and has spent most of its time under a sheet in a garage, so has very minimal wear and hardly any ageing ( a few oil marks around bottom bracket, very minor). The wheel rims show this as they have clearly only gone round a handful of times with the brakes in contact.

The Bike is made using Reynolds 531c (competition) tubing, and is beautifully lugged. It also has Reynolds 531 forks. The frame is 22.5 inches / 57cm. It has a lovely and hardly marked red powder coat and original Byer Cycles decals. It is equipped with a Shimano 105 7 speed groupset with Mavic Open 4 rims and Cinelli bars and stem as follows:

•Shimano 105 Headset
•Shimano 105 Bottom Bracket
•Shimano 105 front mech
•Shimano 105 rear mech
•Shimano 105 52/42 170mm chainset
•Shimano 105 pedals with hooks and leather straps
•Shimano 105 7 speed cassette
•Shimano 105 hubs laced with stainless steel spokes to Mavic Open 4 grey 700c rims with Hutchinson Kevlar 700x23c tyres
•Shimano 105 dual pivot brake callipers
•Shimano 105 Aero brake levers
•Shimano 600 27.2 seat post
•Selle Italia TURBO saddle
•Cinelli bars
•Cinelli stem

I'm looking for £325 for this bike. It's in Cambridge, and I would prefer collection, but I can ship for £350.

It's too small for me, despite being almost exactly what I want, hence there is little point in me holding on to it under the pretence that I will use it. I have ridden it, and it is just effortless, a total pleasure.

Re:

Good point. It is in fact 57 (or a tad over). Basically exactly 22.5 inches. Thought it was 22 inches, hence the 56cm statement. Should have been more accurate in my measurement.
