Looking for a base for a road/touring project -

Must have
* semi-sloped dropouts so it can be run single-speed
* clearance for 700 x 28 and guards or more
* steel fork
* 57 - 58cm TT

Bonus for
* band-on shifter mounts and FD cable guides i/o brazed-on
* dropout screws for chain tension / axle adjust
* OS tubes, 31.8 DT and 28.6 TT
* canti posts for bigger tyres

Dropout OLD of interest also - 126mm could work well

What's the rough budget? Need cantis or center calipers OK? Wheels needed?

Budget is a good point. Not looking for something really cheap, or very rare/exclusive. Anything with nice tubing and lugs, or more recent TIG weld frames. Fair going rate for fair condition etc.

Brakes - Cantis are fine, centre-pulls are lovely, deep-drop calipers are OK too.
Wheels - if they're to suit the frame / dropout spacing yes of interest particularly if with a singlespeed hub. Have a few wheel sets here that may suit otherwise.

I have one or two frames that could fit the bill. Will need to get up to my bike storage lockup and check through what's there exactly, so may take a little while before I can come back with pics etc.
