[66 triumph daytona]

Probably been done to death but anyhow...I have an XTR M980 2 speed chainset and want to run my older M970 3 speed front shifter and mech with it.Is it simply a case of resetting limit screws and away I go?Will my 9 speed chain shift ok on the M980 10 speed chainrings?

You will have no trouble with the chain at all, the rings are the same thickness anyway. Front shifting should be fine, although I'm still a grouch and generally prefer a thumbie. The modern front mechs seem generally tetchy even when you buy a complete groupset.

Will pretty much any 104bcd chainring fit the M980 2x crank?
