2x Nos White porcs - let the bidding begin

no, but if people are paying £150+ for a NOS pair, then surely they would pay at least half that for perfect re-issues?

consdering the Porc II's were being sold of at around £25 a pair, presumably at a profit, then a white version should/could make a huge profit?

im no business expert but I smell a missed opportunity...but then I am a nostalgic fellow who thinks all bike manufacturing companies should re-issuse everything that was made BITD!

bit the people who are paying 150 plus for nos are paying that because they are new and they are the original old stock. it doesnt mean that they will pay even half that for repros because they are not original. its either all or nothing.

people like myself who would love a set but wont pay the 150 plus price tag probably wont pay a 75 pound price either.

i know i wouldnt!

I reckon it'd be a great idea to re-issue them, I'm sure they'd be able to shift a load, I'd buy a set (or two considering they get dirty/wear out quickly!)
There were a few white tyres at Eurobike, looks like they're about to make a comeback anyway...

I'd really really really like some Umma Gumma re-issues though!!! (please Specialized! :D )

if they were exact copies, I would.

just like i'd buy exact copies of thumb shifters, cassettes, etc. You could thrash the daylights out of them without feeling any guilt or worrying that you cant replace them.

£75 was a ball park figure, even at £40 they'd be making a killing over the black Porc II's

I'd buy some remoulds at the original £13ea price.

Ditto. I use black Porc IIs now, but that's because they're cheap! Did anyone else on here actually use them back then? I did, and they lasted about 2 weeks! And Gump did, I think they lasted 1 race!!! They're not even that good, just a pretty colour.
