29/27.5 frames

I've seen a few frames advertised as both 29 and 27.5. Whilst I appreciate a 27.5 wheel will fit in a 29er frame, can a frame really be designed to run either standard?

Aside from the bb dropping slightly running 27.5 wheels, are there any other factors to consider?

I’ve not seen any 27.5/29 frames but I’ve seen 27.5+/ 29 frames where the tyre makes the difference in rolling diameter.

^that, 27.5+/29 is a thing, i dont think 27.5/29 is.

I read 27.5+ is most definitely a marketing exercise, not a bandwagon I see the need to jump on myself.
