Mrs R has Schwalbe City Jets on here bike. Mostly slick and pretty rugged. Not too wide so look pretty speedy, but big enough to cope with fireroads and light (dry!) off roading.

I have been using Charge Splashback in the wider size, look good and ride lovely for my commute road riding.
They're coming off and puncture protect ambercity jets in 1.95" are going on.

They're going to be smoother and the corners better than knobblies.

Really if it's looks you are after, then go look at some in the shops.
Perhaps Schwalbe road cruiser/big Ben, halo h-block/twin rail...

Inspired by this thread my Schwalbe amber city slick have now replaced my splashbacks.
Don't look to bad and more baloony than I thought they would be.
I was thinking they would be like the old flatter retro ones (Tioga city slickers).

Look good (in my eyes) though.

I’m preferring Schwalbe Big Apples on my commuter rides: they are fat enough to carry the MTB look, roll well enough and the ‘balloon’ tyre cushioning is awesome on dodgy city roads/up kerbs etc...

Schwalbe Land Cruiser are also good as a dual-use tyre - my sister ran them for several years as a general purpose commuter tyre.
