They look great. Not cheap, but making tyres isn't cheap and no doubt they won't be making them in crazy quantities to keep unit cost down...

Panracer aren’t making them a private chap is. Unfortunately in the US but he has a eBay shop to deal with Europe (nothing on there yet).

I got a set of Panaracer Smoke and Dart for my Bravado and I was impressed by their performance, even on the road.
Best 15 quid I spent on the pair!

There's plenty of nice modern gravel/harpack tyres that would lend themselves well to being resized for 26". I think we are a very niche market sector, aside from a few USA projects getting tyres launched, it will be slim pickings. Tyres are probably my favourite aspect of retro mtb's, the look of a good retro mtb is all about the tyre choice imo.

The reproduction Smoke/Dart are a good option if you can find them. I've had a couple of pairs of tyres from AliExpress over the last year or so, they're ok for the price.

Just make sure you get the 26" size, as they sell the same ones in 27.5/29 as well.
