Sold 26” Wheel: WTB Speedmaster on Mari Hub . Now £25 posted!

£50 £25 including UK mainland post. Nice wheels and true. WTB decals intact and quite bright. Front rim has very little wear, the rear has more, but still plenty of life. Both hubs with new bearings and freshly greased. Rear hub: bombproof Shimano STX runs smooth. Front hub: Marin Rockstar. Runs ok, not perfect but would be acceptable to me: bearing cup looks okay but cones have some pitting. Skewers included: slightly mismatched silver pair.

I built a mate a bone last year, only things I didn't upgrade were wheels and forks. I've got a set of forks for him now, and the frames a Marin so these would work. Is the front hub salvageable. You say it's ok but I'd like to sort it if possible should I buy the wheels. I've plenty of donor parts if it's just comes, or is the inner race pitted?

Having opened the front hub and repacked it. It now runs ok. Not perfect but would be acceptable to me. The bearing cup looks okay (pics above as best I can) but the cones do have pits.
