Had a customer recently had done 30,000 miles on an xt rear hub.
A lot of high end cartridge bearing hubs have too loud freewheel ratchets for most tourers, and the Pawls and ratchet ring will need to be replaced after many thousand miles.
You can still do that with xt/xtr
