Depends on which hopes. While I love the ti hubs, perhaps not for touring but I'd take later hubs over m900, but that's just me.

If you were looking to build a set of wheels, I have a set of hope pro 3 non disc hubs in black with spacing for MTB rear end. And some nos wtb dual duty rims (I think, could be dmr deevee) in black which would build up into a robust set of wheels.

Mine are silver pro 3 hubs on Mavic 717 rims.

Yeah, not sure if the sound would bother me or not. Building up a rim brake wheelset with more modern hubs is out of my budget afaik. I'm planning on running 8x3 and there isn't many 8x wheelsets out there for sale.
