25 years of Coed y Brenin - FAT TYRE REVOLUTION

Re:

Got my bikes ready for the display and the Clockwork ready for the timed lap, just got to dig the classic Orange race kit out ;)

Re:

Gloriously wet forecast and tomorrow I have decision to make fettle up my dropbar Marin IFT with some suspension or strip back the Roberts Phantom I've lovingly crafted into my Explorer Tourer, complete with SON lighting and Surly racks.. Bugger

Slightly worried too I've barely ridden for months due to work...
And I've just talked the route through and I'm looking at my mangled thumb, it's gonna hurt...

DFL prize for me I reckon

Re:

Reckon the 'racing' will involve a pretty hefty pinch of salt, should be a good laugh!

Like to see the Roberts, but I'm not sure why you'd be wanting to add heavy suspension to the Marin...

Re:

It's already on & only the front . I've just watched a video of the 99% of Tarw Du & errr
I'm going to enjoy it but my thumb ain't ( I crushed it on my ocean rowing boat 2 weeks ago ) I'm making excuses so I can force beer into myself afterwards.."honest it's medicinal"
We're heading up Friday and parking up in overflow, can't miss the van it's been nicknamed the Polar bear for good reasons.
Will see what bikes we can squeeze in and on the back.

Re:

Excellent, we'll be camping up the road from tomorrow evening - see you there!

Um, is that a chiller van then? We *may* have beers to keep cold...

Re:

See thee friday night joe, look for a faded red t4 with a loada old steeds on the back.....beer, sounds good to me :)

Re:

We're booked in just up the road, really looking forward to this.

Now I've just got to sort through the period/year correct lycra so I look the part.....let's face it I'm not gonna win fastest up the climb!
