25" Overbury's Connoisseur refurbed

Re: 25" Overbury's Connoisseur in need of TLC

just been on a bridleway night ride on the jake. That was er, interesting.

Thank you for your kind words. This one just feels comfortable. I can't put it into words other than it has a really nice aura/vibe going on. I'm no hippie but.........

Ah, ok. Sorry, I lose track sometimes.
Don't worry, you're not alone.

The next one arrives this week.

Sleeping face down.

Again.

Re: 25" Overbury's Connoisseur in need of TLC

Rain on the shed roof, a mince pie, coffee, silence. Sunday lunch was a welcome interruption. Everything other than rear mech, guards, tape and cables is original/as it arrived. Oh, plus the hoods.

Bit moist out. Mrs HM is a patient woman.

Hours spent removing hardened grime/grease combo. XTR rear mech should be OK.

Not sure about the bag angle? Never fitted one before but seems to clear everything. Carradice site has the support thingies but very expensive.

Back in the shed till next weekend for a first ride.

Re:

It's always hard to see the transformation using photo's, unless the starting point is a complete shed, but that is looking really up and together now.

You were right about the mudguards, they look much better in black.

The gear cables look really long, but that's probably because they are.

I look forward to seeing the next pictures, from somewhere out in the local countryside.
