Serious question:

If the decals are as original, in white for smaller ones and with white edges on main logo, would/should panels be white or ivory? I fancied ivory as white was a little harsh, but wondering if that would clash????

Hi THM , i think the ivory would look a little bold at 1st but i can't see it actually clashing tbh and if anything i think your right about the white being a little to harsh so i wouldn't use the white as you'll not be happy with it ..

ooooooooooooooh. That's my colour scheme! I think gold lug lining would be nicer. Pole or panels though (scratching head) Just had a nice chat with Donald in the workshop who directed me to this fine example of their work.

Let's just say 100% pole and funny you should mention " Gold lug lining "as i was thinking about it after i'd replied on my previous post mate and yes you can tell Donald from the workshop that frame detailing is just " gorgeous " as i just love it ..

Just thinking back to when i had my Dawes Celeste i always fancied the idea of having some lattice detailing from the head tube along the cross bar to about half way and the rest from the head tube to a qaurter of the way along the down tube with just an inch and a half down the fork crown onto the forks but after an RTA on the bike in 1990 it never happened but wish i had done ..
