25-630 tyres?

Though I can get 27" x 1" tyres will 27 x 1 1/8 tyres also fit on a 25-630 rim?

As long as the etrto number (630) matches. The imperial size, thats anyones guess.

(Made more complex as i can find various 27x1 1/8 listed as both 630 and 622......)

Best option is to check the manufacturers site for accurate sizing.

Thanks,this size of wheel is new to me,but I would like it with as wide a tyre as the rim will accept.It's a replacement front wheel the rear wheel is 27 x 1 1/4,so I'd like to keep them as closely matched as possible.

After a little more research and a few moments with a ruler I discovered the rim I have is actually 20-630 ie 27 x 3/4.The internal rim width being around 15mm,which appeared to me to be too narrow to accept even a 27 x 1 1/8 tyre.

Fortunately,I then came across Sheldon Brown's rim,tyre compatibility chart,

showing actually that a 20-630 rim will accept even a 27 x 1 1/4 32-630 tyre,which in fact it does and very comfortably,as I fitted one this afternoon.
