Wanted 24” wheel forks v break

Hey! Yeah I’ve seen that’s the go to, I’ve got a newly acquired 24” Zaskar I know they were stand fit with Ballistics although likely hood of finding them is zero to none

I've not got any forks I can help you with, but maybe some of the following options might help

1. Convert some pace forks. I had some rc31s converted to 24 inch by justbackdated. I was in talks with him about doing some rc39s at some point too but didn't go down that route in the end.

2. Cable disc front fork in 26 inch. I ran a dmr with full hydro brakes, 26 inch fork, 24 inch wheels.

3. Run a converter like this, dropping the brake mount on a 26 inch fork. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/28597437...ar=588055481478&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

4. A set of v brakes like these or similar that allow a fair bit of pad adjustment vertically: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/26704738...eEG02BlRb2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I have a pair of the latter and I can check to see how low the pad can go if it helps. I have another set similar to Paul's which allow the pads the move up and down the whole shaft which might be an option, like onza holas too.

You’re always coming in clutch! Cheers dude, such a bank of info! I’m toying with the idea of retro fitting a set of Judy XCs lowering the brace and thus lowering the brake bosses :p I need to have a hood look at the bolt sizes and their profiles to see if it’s possible but I recon I could also lower the travel somehow making them seem like a legit pair of 24” Judy XCs on a mini Zaskar they would look at home :p

I don't think you'll be able to move the brace down, there's no meat on the legs to create fixing points.

One thought I did have is that you might be able to do something with a set of forks like the manitou in the picture or m brace bombers with the top and bottom sections that are not 1 piece. Wondering if you could shorten the legs somehow, but thinking about it it is unlikely to be possible due to the fixing points for the brakes, and also on the bombers, the v mounts help hold the brace on.

Fair shout, bombers was also a good call, I’ve a set of 2001 z1s in the attic but yeah the brake bosses like you said hold everything together quite a nice design honestly… at this rate I’ll be buying a set of suntour crap ones and spraying them Judy SL yellow with matching decals xD
