I experienced a complete fail on finding a machinist locally. The guy I had manufactured a huge mount that put the caliper on the rear of the disc. Every time I came off the saddle I would get latched in the brake line. It was solid and bulky. I ended up finding a set of Hayes Purple and am in the process of rebuilding the entire set at this time. I have over $160 invested so far in the brakes and I am hopeful they will last a while.
