Absolutely stunning 1964 frame set. Re-finished in original colours by Mercian at great expense.It still has it's original chrome in lovely condition.
22" seat tube c-t 22" top tube c-c.

Reynolds 531c,the frame is still made today

Ah, the traditional Mercian 'barber's pole' seat tube decoration. A clubmate of mine had one finished like that in the 60's.

I wonder what happened to it.........................

The response was to me it is just 6 pieces of metal.

Ha! I get a similar thing. Your gf needs to see an exploded diagram of a frame, though, so that she can get the parts count right; you never know, it might spark her interest.

I tried to educate my wife in the threading on an English bottom bracket yesterday, in case she ever has to adjust one "when I die", but she didn't really seem to be paying much attention.
