I've honestly never considered M95X as pretty. Functionally excellant, but not pretty. The rear mech in particular is downright ugly. EDIT: But M960 was much worse. I thought Shimano found their way again with SLX and M970.

Notice no gripshifter, or short cage mech :cry: But good no granny ring - pointless

Andy B Retrobike Rider Gold Trader 98+ BoTM Winner Feedback View Jan 19, 2010 #10 I suspect X0 will have a gripshifter, as you can still get them (for xc racing whippet weight weenie types) Also guess you will have cage length options too as you have now, both with Shimano & Sram When I first saw pics of the SLX chainset a couple of years ago I though it won't look that good IRL, but it did.
