I'll snap a shot of the clearances tomorrow. It's not tight with the Maxxis 2.1 Crossmarks ... Only tight with be front dérailleur which I'll probably Dremel. It doesn't need the arm and that's the issue.
I would change out the rotors you are using for better braking. There is not enough metal for friction and use 185mm on the front. You will be amazed at the difference a bigger rotor makes.

I've got this same 180/160 setup on my 29er. The braking power on it overkill. I have only run KCNC tho ... Maybe beefer ones would be better as you say.
I've been told that the BB7s get better after a few rides. I don't want to say they are bad, they are better than a good v brake setup. I just found them much less responsive than my Elixer Trial 7s.
