I picked up a 2002 Klein Adept as per my other thread. The fork on it is a 2002 Manitou Black Elite 80/100.
Both top caps/knobs cracked the first time that I turned them!
The plastic is as thin as an eggshell. :x Anyone know if/where spares are available?
I also need a decal "BLACK" for the right leg. Anyone know of a source?
I took off both top caps, and the oil is at the right level in the right leg, and the spring in the left has plenty of grease. The fork seems to do well when compressed by body weight against the floor.
