Found this bike and wheel set at localmetal recycling depot may part it out not sure it’s definitely rough but it’s the kinda stuff i get pumped about refurbishing

The crud on the bottom is resistant to everything I’ve thrown at it will have to try and lightly sand it to get it off

So while I was lightly sanding the crud of the frame I decided to bare the entire frame and polish it. I’ve always liked the Ross and Mongoose chrome frames from the eighties and figure this will check that box for me. We’ll see how it goes.

Well from 120 grit to 2000 its been a bit of a marathon. It does look good and weighs nothing

That has come out really nicely. Great work. I hate the job of polishing up, but the results are worth the effort.

Well now i wait for my replacement fork to arrive so i can continue the build hopefully today
