Having recently purchased this De Rosa A+, I have found very little information on this model, I know de Rosa made them from 1999-2000, and thats pretty much it! The frame is Aluminium, the forks are chromoly Which should ensure a more comfortable ride. Build plans are not going to be traditional, more practical, as I intend to ride it regularly, as a spare training bike. So far I have a Tifosi 27.2 carbon seat-post, although slightly on the heavy side, looks robust and should add another level of riders comfort to the rear. Have also ordered a selle Italia De rosa saddle, so should go nicely with the bike. The build will have shimano 11 speed groupset, as it is practical, and many of my bikes either have 11 speed Ultegra, or 105. I know Campag would be aesthetically more pleasing, but not practical, as I regularly swap wheels or the cassette over, so am sticking with Shimano. In terms of wheels, I have some Fulcrum 3’s which are light and fast, and complement the bike well. Still undecided on bars and stem, but again will be modern and purposeful.
Standard Fulcrum 3, purchased in 2018 from new. But I do like the white hubs, think it complements the bike well. Plus not a bad set of wheels in terms of performance
Yep original paint and graphics, the bike frame and forks have only ever been displayed. But I have bought to use, but not abuse
Would agree, the hubs clash with most bikes!
