Once upon a time (well, before Covid) I mentioned to someone I occasionally rode with, that if they ever were going to sell there Stumpy, could I have first dibs. Five plus years later, and I’ve not ridden with them (my failings not there’s), and out of the blue message arrives saying…you said that…

So now I’m the owner of a bit big for me Stumpjumper M2 with issues.

We knew about the stuck seat post, the rear brake cable and that the forks had unusual springs (motor cycle valve springs).

Headset was a little dry, and front mech could do with a bit of a clean, but seat post starting to move.
