Re: 1999 Sunn BMIX wip
Thanks Ash, I will chase you up when I go for a smarter build!
After fitting a new headset, I realised I forgot to check stack height. The steerer was already at the bare minimum it would be safe at, with no spacers.
So, I had to fit a steerer extender, and have a spacer on top of the stem to take up some of the excess this solution leaves. Ugly but cheap !
I recently sold a stem of just the stack height I could have got away with, typical!
I have been putting this together with parts to hand, just to have it built up to blast around on, with a longer term plan of picking up shinies for a future rebuild.
Hubs have been repacked and are nice and smooth now, but the rear will need a new rim.
A rummage produced a BB converter, so I can fit a regular BB.
some other parts fitted;
Deore levers, XT v-brakes
red X-Lite saddle
Tioga Factory FS100 26x2.30 tyres
Race Face cranks w/ middleburn solid ring
Odyssey triple trap pedals
