1999 Marin Shoreline Trail Ritchey WCS/XTR finished Pg15

Here we go, some nice sunny outdoor shots of the Marin....

Jimmy enjoyed throwing it around the garden and reports that the XTR brakes feel sharper and the front is a little firmer and he feels more confidant through the turns... :D

What he told you about it?

Confident. You build the bikes. Leave the home school thing to the professionals x.

Yeah... he wants to keep it a secret..... (as for my spelling, I blame the teachers)

Yes, no, yes, no! Dunno!

That cro-mo rear end makes me itch a bit

I have two, yes count them, frames to do, FRS-DH and a Mt. Vision so am spoilt for aluminium swing arms.

Yes an aluminium swing arm would save some weight, but would it work any better? All stif and with no flex?
Plus this build was all about the look, and the round cromo rear end looks way better than the boxy ali...

Forget the arse end old boy it’s the front that has my napper twitching like a badgers nose

Rusty Crown bolts on a set of Judy FSX

Just teasing

Forgot about those... they will get sorted......

BTW how long did it take you to find them? And did you use a big HD screen....

(Just waiting for MTS’s scrutiny now  )

As you already know I was kinda horrified when you and Jimmy decided to go Monochromatic - however it works really well with the white rear end and the WCS swooshes.

The cro-mo swing arm was used on the very base model with at least 5 versions of the alu swing arm up through the range - the disc tab models are very stiff whereas the steel version is very bendy.
