1999 Marin Bolinas Ridge 1 1/8 Threadless Headset replacement

Hi All
I'm having to tighten the headset on my 1999 Marin Bolinas Ridge every couple of rides.
I have replaced the bearing ,but still not much better.
I suspect the cups are worn out.
Can anyone please recommend a reasonable price replacement, it doesn't have to be period .
It's threadless but not sure if semi integrated on this model ? - any help would be appreciated

It's just a boggo 1 1/8 headset, will most likely have generic caged bearings. If you are having to tighten it that maybe suggests the cups aren't in the frame straight (so it has tight-loose areas on it's rotation.

top cap may have sunk - being plastic, bung a decent metal one on there and maybe an extra spacer

The headset fitted is a Richey Logic - which I suspect is the original specification - hence factory fitted.
Good point about the top cap ,as it is plastic and is quite flexible, so I will order a metal one and give that a try with a spacer first !

Interesting one. The plastic cap is only there to support the pretensioning load on the bearings. Once you've done that, after tightening the stem bolts, you can in theory remove the bolt and top cap as they've done thier intended job.
