1999 Kona stab suspension creaking

Hope someone has some good advice. I purchased this from the forums a few weeks ago. I finally sorted a chain device that fits and works great. I have ridden it several times it was creaking when I got it but after riding it a bit harder today the suspension seems to be creaking almost all the time. It feels great to ride it's just the creaking!

Any advice on what I should try. I have never had a full suspension bike before and don't know what bits I can service. The noise is definitely from the rear suspension.

Looks really nice that, I like Stab's. Shock looks a bit grubby, do you know when it was last serviced? If you wobble the rear wheel from side to side, is there any play in the rear end of the bike? Worn bearings might cause a slight creak, these are cheap enough to replace from ones from eBay.

creaky

thanks for the reply no sideways wobble at all
no idea about the last service.
Can the shock be serviced?
also if I start removing bolts is it going to spring apart.

more advice

So far I have
taken the shock off
cleaned and greased all the mountings
cleaned and greased the pivots

seems to be a bit less creaky
in a few days I will tackle the main pivot by the bottom bracket. It looks like that's the only place bearings could be.

is there anywhere on the pivots I shouldn't grease?

Bottom bracket could be a cheap fix, definitely worth a try if it creaks (esp when pedalling hard). Does it happen when standing, just wondered if the saddle could be to blame?

Re: gresing the pivots.
You put the grease anywhere really and don`t forget to do the small pivots at the seat/chain stay.

update

Thanks for replies

not seat as it happens when I bounce the frame standing up.
also unfortunately not bottom bracket noises.

Thanks re greasing tip.

fingers crossed it's not the shock.
