1999 Klein Quantum Pro

Dirt Disciple
Here's my recently-finished Quantum Pro.

It's a '99 frame, with a '94 colourscheme and '01 graphics and modern groupset, so not one for the purists ;)

I bought the frameset about a year ago. It was originally finished in Jade Chameleon but the paint had seen better days, so off it went to join Etoe's waiting list. I was split between Gator or Moonrise, and only made the final decision at the last minute.

Build-wise, it was a bit of a challenge and took longer than a modern bike, but I think it's been worth it.

1999 Quantum Pro frame (57cm) w/ Aeros carbon fork
• Moonrise paint by Etoe
• Chainset: Campagnolo Chorus compact
• Shifters: Campagnolo Chorus 11sp
• Rear mech: Campagnolo Athena
• Front mech: Campagnolo Super Record
• Brakes: Campagnolo Record dual pivot
• Saddle: Fizik Antares Vs
• Wheels: Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL
• Bars: Specialized S-Works

Re:

 love it. Not into Klein's normally, but maybe thats the reason I love it, regardless of it being a repaint with wrong decals, what purists may moan ;)

Re:

Lovely, as long as you're not epileptic...

Great bike, lovely build. Those oversize tubes really suit a deep section wheel. Great choice of build kit too - the black/carbon finish really makes the frame stand out (if that is possible).
I'm not normally a fan of all black tyres, but again it really suits this bike.
That Hope seat clamp should do you proud too - I love mine (how sad that sounds).

Only one thing to say really - CUT THAT STEERER!
Great Bike.
Let me know when you are finished with it... I would provide a very loving home.

It looks great!

Is the Chorus crankset ok? Seems like there is a crack.

Re:

Love the colour scheme, and the components really complement the frame, fades are class, they don't seem to be used by any of the current carbon bike manufacturers :(

Regards,

Pat
