Hate to say it but I would do exactly that if I brought this frame, only thing that would concern me is getting a good colour match paint wise afterwards.

I am extremely tempted but not sure I can be arsed with adding a tab and all the associated cost/time with it. Fantastic bike but have to ask myself do I really need another!

why are you lot banging on about discs? this is such a lovely non disc frame, subtle and sublime singletrack flyer. don't shove braces on her gob.

(I'm not starting a disc argument here, we all tkow they're much better at stopping than v's and cantis, but that'ts not the point round these parts is it?)

As for breaking it and selling Avids.

will worry about that when the frame goes.

Too right. Leave it V eh? Buy a 2010 full susser for stuff which needs disks at the back. I run my '99 Explosif 853 with XTR v's at the back, XTR disk up front. Perfect balance. MTB is all about front brake anyhows eh?

I love the look of this frame, have been after an IF, but I've fallen in love with the Explosif again, and cant get off her!!
