1999 GT XCR 3000 rebuild/restore

Hey guys

Going to be posting my progress of resurrecting my brothers old GT XCR 3000. So far I've stripped it and taken the frame apart.

Next steps are to:

- bead/shot blast the whole frame
- machine a disc mount for the rear triangle
- weld disc mount
- spray up frame and leave rear triangle raw with lacquer
- machine new bushes for main pivot and for the RS Monarch RT3 rear shock I will be using
- rebuild i-drive with new bearings

Shocks rebuilt. Matt black paint finished! Rear triangle going on CMM machine to acquire dimensions concerning the disc mount. Oh and wheels are coming too...

Hi good work, who is welding the disc tabs? Wouldnt mund getting some on my lts

Right, finally it my arse into gear. Will be uploading some photos tomorrow! Ordered finishing kit and a 9 speed XT grouppo will going on it. I've finished machining the jig and have finished the disc tab. The rear triangle is now at the welding department at my work!
