1999 explosif restoration

Finally got my self another explosif, had one and sold it back in 2010 (the blue one) and regretted selling it ever since, the new one is a little “used” but will be getting it re-sprayed in the same blue as my old one but keep the 1999 style decal design with a slight change in the colour,
Still working on what to spec it with but so far it’s going to be pace rc36 forks(or mk1 rc38 forks if I can find some) Chris king ti headset, m952 xtr , still undecided on pace bar and stem or something titanium and on the eye out for some spinergy xyclone wheels

The blue one ended up being bought by a member on here but can’t remember who it was, would be interesting to see if they still have it,

Got the explosif back from bluewippet resprays and thay have done an amazing job painting it, also built up the forks with the new lowers and fitted a few other parts, need to decide on what bars to get next

The graphics looks smart, similar to the cinder cone colour scheme if I'm remembering correctly. I think a nice thomson riser would be a good match for the post.

Thanks ☺️ yeah there similar to the cinder cone ones with the yellow,
Was looking for something flat, tempted by the ti Thomson bars but not too sure on the price 😂

Very great respray. Looks a much richer blue and the decals are great. How's this build progressing?

Yeah ime really happy with how it’s come out and bluewhippet done a excellent job of painting it and same goes for retro decals for the custom colours on it, the build has slowed down as it’s hard to find parts in good condition that aren’t overpriced
