went out for the first time the other day on it and loved it.

I remember when this bike came out. Cannondale created a foam injection kit shortly after to be injected into the lower bottle cage boss near the bottom bracket. This structural foam was supposed to reinforce the BB area. you may want to check to see that this was indeed done.

That was for the Raven II, not the Raven I to my knowledge. I have a I 900SX and I now have a Purpleen I frame too as of today. Shame she is a bit tatty

Is that color Purpleen or Kameleon Fire Green (KFG). KFG was the color used for other bikes in that same year and in 1998.
